AuraVideo Privacy Policy

This policy applies to AuraVideo and the related information shown on this site.

Version: 1.0

Effective date: 2026-05-21

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled in connection with AuraVideo, including the AuraVideo mobile application and related website materials, unless a separate privacy notice applies to a specific feature.

2. Short Summary

In the current version of AuraVideo reviewed in this repository, users import and edit media locally on device, project data and edit history are stored locally, exported videos may be saved to the Photos library if permission is granted, and no account system, advertising SDK, or obvious developer-operated media upload flow was identified.

If that remains true in the shipping build, AuraVideo may qualify for a "Data Not Collected" App Store privacy label. If you add analytics, crash reporting, cloud sync, account systems, support SDKs, remote AI processing, or server uploads, this policy and your App Store privacy disclosures must be updated.

3. Information We Handle

A. Media and content you choose to use: videos, images, text overlays, audio you choose to use with editing workflows, and project edit settings and composition data. In the current app design, this content is processed primarily on your device and stored locally unless you export or save it elsewhere.

B. Local project and usage files: imported project file paths and project titles, editing drafts and metadata, generated cover images, export counts and file size summaries, and recent in-app activity history tied to local projects.

C. Support communications: if you submit information through available support channels in the app or on the site, we may receive the materials you choose to provide, such as device details, screenshots, exported files or samples, and message contents.

4. How We Use Information

5. App Permissions

Photo Library access is used to import videos or images you choose to edit and to save exported output back to your library. If you deny permission, some import or export flows may not work as intended.

If you later add microphone, camera, contacts, location, tracking, or cloud account features, update both this policy and your App Store privacy disclosures before release.

6. Data Sharing

In the current app model, we do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in limited situations, such as with service providers if they are later used for hosting, analytics, support, or similar operations; when you voluntarily submit files or information through available support channels; if required by law or legal process; to protect rights, safety, and property; or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets.

7. Tracking and Advertising

Based on the current codebase review, we did not identify third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking mechanisms. If we later use tracking technologies or enable targeted advertising, we will update this Privacy Policy and comply with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency requirements and other applicable laws before doing so.

8. Data Retention

In the current local-first design, app-managed project files and history generally remain on your device until you delete them, remove the app, or clear the related data. Exported files saved to your Photos library remain there until you delete them. Information submitted through available support channels may be retained for support, legal, and recordkeeping purposes.

9. Your Choices

For the current local-first app design, you can remove exported files from your Photos library and delete the app to remove locally stored app data, subject to backup settings. If future versions add account or support-request features, this policy will be updated to describe the related request and handling process.

10. Children’s Privacy

AuraVideo is not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required under applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-operated backend systems in the current app design. If the product model changes in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.

11. International Transfers

If we receive information directly through email, website forms, or support systems, that information may be processed in jurisdictions outside your place of residence, subject to applicable law. If the app later adds cloud services or backend systems, we will update this section to describe relevant cross-border processing practices.

12. Security

We use reasonable measures designed to protect information under our control. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for securing access to your device and reviewing any exported content before sharing it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and may provide additional notice where required by law.
